Diabetes is a serious disease that disproportionately affects people of color and those with low incomes. These disparities are often due to systemic inequities in healthcare, such as lack of access to affordable care, cultural barriers, and implicit bias.

Diabetes REHAB is committed to making equitable diabetes care a reality. We believe that everyone deserves to have access to the highest quality care, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status.

We are taking a number of steps to address health disparities in diabetes care, including:

  • Collecting data and understanding disparities: We are looking at outcomes by race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic conditions to uncover and understand any gaps in our care.
  • Delivering reversal at scale: We are delivering diabetes reversal across all groups, regardless of their background.
  • Introducing new features: We are investing in new features like bilingual options to make Diabetes REHAB more accessible.
  • Learning from patients: We are learning from patients by forming diversity focus groups to better understand disparities, and building strong connections with community leaders.
  • Investing in underserved communities: We are continuing to identify new areas for product user experience improvement to better serve diverse patient groups. We’re also seeking opportunities to increase access in public programs, where more patients may receive coverage.
  • Measuring our progress: As we make changes, we’ll continue to analyze and share data on how we’re serving diverse communities.

We believe that by taking these steps, we can help to close the gap in diabetes care and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to live a healthy life.

Ben’s Story

Ben is a Apache Nation citizen who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2021. He had been struggling with the disease for years, and her A1C level was over 10. He was taking multiple medications, but his blood sugar was still not under control.

Ben decided to try Diabetes REHAB after hearing about it from a friend. He was skeptical at first, but she was willing to give it a try.

Diabetes REHAB has helped Ben to completely transform his health. He has lost over 100 pounds, and her A1C level is now in the normal range. He is no longer taking any medications, and she feels better than he has in years.

Ben is grateful for Diabetes REHAB , and he believes that it has saved his life. He encourages others to try it.

Conclusion

We believe that everyone deserves to live a healthy life, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. We are committed to making equitable diabetes care a reality, and we believe that Diabetes REHAB can play a role in closing the gap.
